Improve mobility and increase strength in weekly fitness classes for all abilities with the Brandywine YMCA!

The benefits of physical activity are often publicized, but is it safe for older adults to exercise? For most people, the benefits of exercising regularly far outweigh the risks. Even older individuals with chronic illnesses can find ways to work out safely. As we age, our bodies take a little longer to heal themselves, but regular exercise prevents chronic disease, improves mood, and lowers the chance of injury.

CASC partners with the YMCA of Greater Brandywine to provide age appropriate classes that safely introduce aerobic and endurance exercises, strength and resistance training, and stretching and flexibility exercises which can be adapted for anyone’s unique stamina and abilities.
