Cognitive decline was once thought to be an inevitable part of aging. Now, scientists know that the brain continually adapts, even in old age. As we age, participation in the arts positively affects our health. There is a great need to engage older adults in experiential arts activities and there is substantial evidence that participation helps maintain the health and quality of life of older adults.
